British Manuscripts Collection
The British Manuscripts collection has been created to arrange and describe individual manuscripts, typescripts, and other handwritten and typed documents created by British authors and later acquired by the Chapin Library. Acquisition information, where known, is listed at the item level.
Paul Breman collection on the Broadside Press
Newsletters of the Broadside Press, a near-complete run of broadsides published by the Press, ephemera relating to Broadside Press publications, and a biography of Dudley Randall, the founder of the Press.
Broadway and Seventh Avenue Railroad records
Includes financial records, personnel records, and other operational records relating to the operation of the Broadway and Seventh Avenue Railroad in Manhattan, New York City. The records document the development and operation of public transit in the 1870s and early 1880s, and include contracts, indentures, deeds and other types of documentation. Agreements with third-party contractors document a variety of businesses that contributed to the streetcar operations.
Miles Bronson Family papers
The Miles Bronson family papers includes journal entries, essays, poems, sermons, addresses, and correspondence relating to the Bronson's missionary service in India from 1836-1874. The papers date from 1831-1883. A detailed inventory is located in a separate document.

Deborah Brothers papers
The Deborah Brothers papers document Brothers's theatrical costuming work at Williams starting in 1985. The papers include drawings of costumes and photographs featuring actors dressed in costumes, as well as some background research. Included also are planning documents for the '62 Center which were collected and maintained by Brothers. The papers date 1986-2015.
Leslie Brown Papers
The Leslie Brown papers include materials from Professor Brown's time at Williams College from 2008 to 2016. Materials include course notes, curriculum notes, lecture notes, course syllabi, research and scholarship materials relating to her areas of subject expertise (History, African American studies, race and gender). Also included are transcripts and audio recordings of oral history interviews recorded as assignments for History 301.
