Queer Student Union collection
Scope and Contents
The collection includes memorabilia, ephemera, papers, and other material documenting the Queer Student Union at Williams College and events such as National Coming Out Week, Bi-Visibility Week, and Queer Pride Days. Also included is some documentation of the Dively Committee, Queer Task Force, etc. There is a diverse array of material relating to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues both locally and nationally. There are several student papers in the collection that were written by Williams students for course assignments or for personal documentary use.

The Queer Student Union Collection is open for research. Series III. Student Papers and Projects is restricted until releases from the authors are received. Researchers are encouraged to contact Special Collections staff prior to a visit.

Organized into four series: I. Chronological Documents, II. Subject Files, III. Student Papers and Projects, and IV. Photographs and Memorabilia.

This collection of materials accumulated over several years, added to by students, and was stored in the Queer Student Union area at Williams College (location at the time unknown).
Material in the Queer Student Union Collection has been collected by various individuals, including Guillermo Fernandez, Gabriel Joffe, Carol Pepper, Kyle Roberts, and Neil Hobbes.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Gift of Gabriel Joffe (Williams 2011) on behalf of the Queer Student Union, May 2011. Gift of Kyle Roberts (Williams 1995), August 2013.
Photographs were separated out and added to the MC214 Photograph Collection (General) and the artifacts were removed and added to the MC81 Artifacts Collection.
