The Williams College Treasurer’s Account Books, dating from 1785 to 1975, comprise general accounts, investment information, account books for specific funds, student accounts, and volumes concerning faculty and staff. This collection covers broad areas: general College receipts and disbursements; deeds to College owned land; information on stocks, bonds, mortgages, and other investments; the expenses and salaries of faculty, staff, and students; and money exchanges for such groups as the Williams College Alumni Association, the Soldier’s Monument fund, and academic departments.

The collection is divided into six series: I. General Accounts 1825-1954 and Receipts and Disbursement, 1935-1951, II. Specific Account Records 1793-1944, III. Investments 1811-1947, IV. Student Accounts 1795-1949, V. Faculty and Staff Accounts 1785-1951, VI. Treasurer Packages, 1790-1975. Each series has been organized chronologically.
