Content Description

The James MacGregor Burns papers includes the files and papers of Williams College Professor and Political Scientist James MacGregor Burns. The papers include materials relating to books, articles, interviews, manuscripts, political reform and involvment, leadership, etc. Represented in the collection is correspondence, research notes, committee notes and minutes, publications, lecture notes and speeches, reviews, conference notes, interview materials, and other miscellaneous printed materials. A 2021 addition to the papers includes personal material such as diaries, family heirlooms, Burns's adolecent educational papers and other juvenilia, photographs and scrapbooks. Financial records, writings, correspondence, film script, and videocassettes are also included in the addition.
