Scope and Contents

The Committee on Educational Policy (CEP) Records, 1964-1988, comprise meeting minutes, yearly curricular change packages, curricular reports and reviews, digital material, correspondence, memoranda, notes, registration statistics, and information on special academic programs such as contract majors, degrees with honors, independent studies, exchange programs, study away programs, and graduate programs. Some important curricular changes that took place during this time include the switch to the 4-W-4 calendar, the abolishment of major examinations, and the change in distribution and honors requirements.

Proposal for Committee on Curriculum.
"Elected committee to be substituted for the CEP in order to explore problems related to curriculum” (Faculty Meeting minutes).
Replaces CEP effective 1 July 1951.

President Sawyer announces he will propose a new committee to review transcendent curricular and calendar issues.

President Sawyer announces appointments to Committee on Educational Policy—10 faculty, President and Chairman of Curriculum Committee (serve ex officio), and a staff assistant; the Provost (Chandler) will serve as chairman.

Processing Information
